Based on the results of a recent study, it would seem that the pizza is more motivating than money. It may sound absurd but it is not that much. Think a moment: alone on a desert island, what would you do with the cash and coins? Wouldn’t be batter a slice of pizza? A very good pizza?
The study was conducted over a week in a factory in Israel, where they had been promised rewards to some workers to achieve certain goals. To a group of workers he had been promised a congratulatory message from the head, another group a $ 30 bonus to the 3rd group a slice of pizza. In this way the workers were monitored to see which group is more motivated. The most productive group was the workers who had been promised a pizza, followed by the message from the chief, the last ones with which he had been promised a cash bonus. Even at the end of the week the bonus money has remained in last place.
In short, the pizza turned out to be much more motivating of money and one thing is clear: a simple encouragement, a good word, can make life better and work.
